The IHF lined fluorine centrifugal pump is designed for continuous chemical-process duties where ordinary metal pumps may suffer rapid corrosion. The impeller, pump cover and other wetted components use fluoroplastic materials such as PTFE, FEP or PFA and are formed by an integral sintering process. A metal insert reinforces the fluoroplastic structure, giving the pump the chemical resistance of fluoropolymers together with the mechanical support needed for industrial operation.
